At Southern Rise Farms, the health of our birds and the satisfaction of our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
Because we provide live animals and perishable food products, our Refund and Credit Policy is very specific.
Below you will find clear guidelines to help you understand how credits, cancellations, and order concerns are handled.
This Refund Policy protects both our customers and our flocks, ensuring that every order is treated with care, fairness, and transparency.


🐥 Live Chick Orders (Shipped or Pickup)

We guarantee that all live Bresse chicks leave our farm healthy and vigorous. Whether you pick up at the farm or receive them by mail, our birds are strong and NPIP-certified.
However, once chicks leave our care, safe arrival can be affected by handling during transport.

Credits will be issued toward your next order if the following apply:

  1. You notify us of any DOA (dead on arrival) chicks within 24 hours of receiving your shipment.
  2. You provide clear photos of the chicks in the original shipping box along with a short description of the issue.

Important notes:

  • Credits are applied to your Southern Rise Farms account and may be used toward your next purchase. We do not issue cash refunds or replacements.
  • We do not issue credits for shipping delays caused by USPS or for incorrect customer-provided addresses.

🍗 Frozen Fryers (Alabama Only – Local Pickup or Delivery)

All frozen fryer sales are final. These birds are carefully processed, sealed, and flash-frozen to maintain quality.
Due to food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns once the product has left our possession.

If there is an issue with your fryer order—such as receiving the wrong product or a damaged package during local delivery—please notify us within 24 hours.
Each situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

📦 Order Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. Orders may be canceled for a full refund up to 7 days before your scheduled hatch or pickup date.
Cancellations requested within 7 days of pickup or shipping may be subject to a 20% restocking fee,
since resources and care have already been allocated to your order. This helps us continue providing consistent, high-quality service to all our customers.
