American Bresse Juvenile Pullets – 2–4 Weeks Old
These 2–4 week old American Bresse juvenile pullets are selected for customers who want a much better chance of receiving female birds without waiting until they are old enough to be reliably sexed.
At this age, we carefully evaluate each bird and cull/select based primarily on comb length and development, removing birds that show stronger early male characteristics. Using this method, we estimate our juvenile pullet selections to be approximately 80% accurate.
Because American Bresse chicks cannot be reliably sexed with 100% certainty at this young age, we cannot guarantee that every bird selected as a pullet will ultimately be female.
Available in Blue, Black, Splash, and White American Bresse.

What Is a Juvenile Pullet?
Our juvenile pullets are 2–4 week old chicks that have been selected as likely females based on early physical development, particularly comb length and development.
We estimate this selection process to be approximately 80% accurate. There is still a possibility that a bird purchased as a juvenile pullet may later develop into a cockerel.
At 2–4 weeks, these birds are already eating and drinking independently, beginning to feather out, and are past the most delicate day-old stage. They will still require supplemental heat appropriate for their age and environmental conditions.
